After years of drawing up plans, a Wellington-based architect decided to move forward with a driveway replacement that would remedy two issues – puddles on the driveway and a grass section that was more mud than grass.
“There’s a 15mm fall from the garage at the end of the driveway to the street, so it’s pretty flat. Our concrete driveway was falling apart, and the grass area wasn’t grass anymore, all thanks to pooling water, so we needed a product that would let the water run through. We were looking at gravel and pavers, but then we found Permcon, and after watching the videos, we were sold!” said the client.
The result is everything they wanted: “It’s so nice now looking out the window and I don’t see mud and dirt and grass that is just annoying – I see this beautiful concrete. And we’ve had some really strong rain over the last two months and I look outside and there is no water on the surface at all. It’s just absolute bliss and then, after the rain stops, you walk outside and everything else looks wet and the concrete has already started to dry.”
